Broadcast set design for Gray Television’s KMOV that debuted in December 2023 alongside a broadcast facility move. Formerly based in downtown St. Louis, KMOV relocated to the suburb of Maryland Heights.
The project includes two large studios, each with unique elements. The main news studio includes a custom anchor desk with the “4” logo, LED displays, and a curved LED background with a brick wall. It also has a multipurpose area, weather section with a custom desk and displays and an interview set with a mobile riser and working staircase.
The lifestyle studio, used for “Great Day” and “My St. Louis LIVE!,” includes a fully functional kitchen set with modern appliances, a flexible home base set with LED displays, and a loft set with multiple standup areas and a bookcase backdrop. Both studios utilize materials like dimensional brick, real wood veneers and faux steel I-beams in their design.
New First Alert 4 branding and the GrayONE motion graphics package also debuted with the move.
